On October 28, 2014, ASHP announced the selection of PharmAcademic from the McCreadie Group, Inc., as the new online tool to support the evaluation of residents and to provide documentation of a systems-based approach to training for ASHP-accredited residencies.
PharmAcademic was originally developed to streamline the management of the elements associated with pharmacy student education. With the decision of ASHP to use PharmAcademic as the new residency online evaluation tool, the system was expanded to include the functionality of ResiTrak, and a newly-enriched PharmAcademic that supports both college of pharmacy and residency programs, while allowing program directors and preceptors to use one application to manage both students and residents (for those sites where the schools or colleges of pharmacy also use PharmAcademic). The new, enhanced PharmAcademic software became available to all ASHP-accredited residency programs for the 2015-16 residency year. Programs are able to access historical data from ResiTrak under the 'ResiTrak Viewer' located in PharmAcademic.
NOTE: PharmAcademic is available to programs that are ASHP-accredited or in the accreditation process. Programs will receive access to PharmAcademic after they have submitted either a pre-candidate or candidate application.
